Decision means country has nearly 90 hubs for students in areas without local university
The French government has announced an expansion of its connected campus scheme to cover 49 sites in mainland France and its overseas territories.
In a statement on 3 May, the government said that the selected sites would share €13.5 million over five years to set up and run centres where students could follow courses provided by French universities remotely using digital technology, and receive onsite support from tutors.
