Increased national showing in Shanghai Ranking shows value of controversial LPPR reform, says Frédérique Vidal
France’s minister for higher education and research has hailed the performance of the country’s universities in the latest global ranking as a vindication of government strategy, including the LPPR research planning act that saw bitter industrial action in 2019 and 2020.
Frédérique Vidal said she was “delighted” to see 41 French institutions feature in this year’s Shanghai ranking, up from 37 last year.
