French university chiefs condemn planned presence in Orléans
Plans to open a University of Zagreb medical school in the French city of Orléans have met with strong criticism from the French academic establishment.
Under the plans, the University of Zagreb would admit around 50 medical students each year. They would receive lectures by video link with the university and also from doctors at the regional hospital in Orléans. Tuition would be bilingual but “mostly in English”, according to a statement from the Orléans local authority. Potential students would apply directly to the University of Zagreb.
