A fact-finding mission on innovation, led by a centre-left coalition in the Senate, France’s upper house, has called for greater spending on research and the forging of closer links between higher education and small businesses.
The mission was conducted under the heading “excellence in research and innovation, a shortage of industrial backers: spot the French mistake”.
