Estelle Iacona promises “continuity” following previous president Sylvie Retailleau’s appointment as research minister

Estelle Iacona, a professor of applied physics and engineering, has been elected president of Paris-Saclay University, France’s most prominent research-intensive university.

Iacona was already serving as Paris-Saclay’s interim president after the departure of previous president Sylvie Retailleau, who was made minister of higher education and research by president Emmanuel Macron.
