Freeze on fees, rents and meals will counter inflationary crisis, minister says

Promises of a freeze in fees, low-cost student meals and a new application process for master’s degrees all featured in the minister for higher education and research’s traditional start-of-the-year address to the sector.

In the speech, delivered on 15 September, Sylvie Retailleau said that the government would respond to an emergency situation affecting students’ purchasing power “in the context of inflation”.
