France ‘must step up’ to achieve clinical research ambitions

Cut red tape to make France the leading location for trials, says pharma industry

The French government needs to do more if it is to realise its ambition of making France the leading location in Europe for clinical trials, pharmaceutical companies have said.

In a report assessing the state of clinical research in the country two years after the government set that ambition as part of its Health Innovation 2030 plan, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry association Leem said that efforts since then had yielded “mixed results”.
