Research vital part of French 10-year plan for supportive care

Government promises national research programme, dedicated research teams and academic posts

The French government has launched a 10-year national plan for supportive care which includes several measures to boost research in the area.

The government launched its proposals on supportive care—provided to improve quality of life for people with chronic conditions and including both end-of-life and palliative care—on 22 April, just over a year after president Emmanuel Macron announced the initiative.
