Laughter counts in Science Slam

Hesse launched the Land’s first Science Slam, where researchers hold scientific lecture competitions similar to a poetry slam, on 8 November in Wiesbaden.

Researchers compete by giving 10-minute lectures on their preferred subject without any aids. They are judged on the content of their lectures, their ability to make scientific subjects understandable, and their wittiness and ability to make the audience laugh.
