NRW gives further funding to research schools

North Rhine-Westphalia’s government will fund research schools for PhD students with €12 million between 2012 and 2014, it announced on 27 October.

The Land’s 17 research schools were launched in 2007 to give exceptional PhD students a dedicated environment for finishing their education. The schools fund their students’ research work and supply them with equipment and dedicated tutoring.
