Research minister continues post on VW Foundation advisory board

Annette Schavan, the German research minister, will spend a second term as head of the Volkswagen Foundation’s advisory board, it was announced on 25 November.

Seven of the foundation’s 14-member-advisory-board will leave the foundation on 29 February 2012 as part of the foundation’s adviser turnover policy. Of the seven members who will replace them, four were chosen by the German government, and three were picked by the government of Lower Saxony. The advisers remain on the board for five years, and can be re-elected once.
