The Stifterverband association of German research foundations has announced its first round of teaching innovation fellowships, which award €50,000 to lecturers who plan to improve university teaching.
The Stifterverband awarded 16 such fellowships on 9 December to lecturers ranging from scientific assistants to senior professors. “The fantastic response we had to this initiative shows that we hit a nerve in the higher education institutions,” said Andreas Schlüter, the secretary general of the Stifterverband.
