Hesse funds research centres to lure in Fraunhofer

The government of Hesse is to give €30 million to fund construction at the Ernst Strüngmann Institute for brain research in Frankfurt.

The institute will get the money over the coming three years to construct better facilities, part of an overarching plan to settle a Fraunhofer institute in the region. Fraunhofer institutes are prestigious applied research facilities based at local research centres.
