Jülich signs agricultural research deal with Brazil

The Jülich computing research centre is planning to build a joint laboratory in Brazil with a local agricultural research organisation, Embrapa.

The lab will work on plant research and bio-informatics with the goal of making agriculture more sustainable. The agreement to establish the centre was signed on 8 October during a Brazil trip by Germany’s research minister, Annette Schavan.
