Renewables reach 60% of energy production in SH

Schleswig-Holstein is getting two-thirds of its energy from renewable sources, according to a local government announcement on 1 October.

Wind energy alone supplies 40 per cent of energy consumption in the Land. Wave power and solar energy supply another 11.7 per cent, the Schleswig-Holstein government said. The energy change minister, Robert Habeck, said renewables should provide all the Land’s energy by the middle of the decade.
