Construction of a centre for biosystems research at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich started on 12 November.
The centre is intended to build on the university’s strength in life sciences, which has the “highest international reputation”, according to science minister Wolfgang Heubisch. Construction and establishment of the centre is funded through a joint €29 million pot created by the Bavarian Land and the federal government.
