Bavaria is hoping to exceed €6 billion in research spending in 2014, if its spending plan for the next two years is fully applied.

The Land’s research ministry budget for 2013/14, released on 13 December, shows planned expenditures of €5.9bn for 2013 and €6.1bn in 2014 on research and universities. This is an increase of 6 per cent between 2012 and 2013, and 2.5 per cent between 2013 and 2014.
