Germany and west Africa cooperate on climate change

Germany and a partnership of 10 west African countries have signed an agreement to collaborate on climate protection projects.

Germany’s state secretary for research, Georg Schütte, signed the agreement with country representatives in Lomé, Togo, on 10 February. The agreement includes funding for science projects on climate research, water management and land use in the region.
