The Leopoldina, Germany’s science academy, is holding an open evening to show off its work on 6 July.
Leopoldina Night is the first time the public will gain access to the organisation’s new premises in Halle. The event will feature a science slam, during which young scientists will present their research in 10-minute lectures, and an exhibition in which visitors can experience physical phenomena. A panel will discuss the conflict between freedom of science and ethical responsibility, chaired by the Leopoldina’s president, Jörg Hacker.
