Medieval German specialist takes top DFG post

A researcher on medieval German from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich is to succeed DFG president Matthias Kleiner, who is leaving his post on 31 December.

Kleiner was president of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, Germany’s largest public research funder, for six years. He will be followed by Peter Strohschneider, who was elected on 4 July by the DFG members council.
