Fraunhofer head retires and take up senate post

Hans-Jörg Bullinger, who headed the Fraunhofer Association for ten years, has resigned and is taking up a post in the association’s senate.

Bullinger helped develop Germany’s hi-tech strategy, which pumps funding into innovation. He also advised the German government on creating a research union and participated in the creation of the so-called German Forschungsraum, which promotes research exchange and collaboration.
