Jülich gets €2.9m to fund urgent innovation

The Jülich research centre has received €2.9 million from the Helmholtz Association for two innovation projects that were considered to be in need of “urgent” funding.

One of the projects is a potential cure for Alzheimer’s, the centre said in an announcement on 17 January. The medicine covered by the research removes protein lumps in animal brains, greatly improving brain functions, the centre stated. It needs money to develop the medicine for human use.
