A biomass research centre in Schleswig-Holstein has received €600,000 to continue its work for another two years, after the research done at the centre was judged to be of high quality.
Half of the funding for the Competence Centre for Biomass Use is supplied by the Schleswig-Holstein government, while the other half comes from European regional development funds. The centre works with local farms and businesses on improving the use of biomass for renewable energy creation.
