Bavarian science academy told it needs a revamp

Bavaria’s academy of sciences, the BADW, should be restructured to develop a more individual profile and increase its international activity, the Bavarian research ministry says.

The academy is to become more focused on research as part of the restructuring, the ministry says. This would enable the academy to network better with international research institutions and increase the visibility of its work in international research, according to a ministry review.
