Bavaria has launched a technology alliance for the Oberfranken region, which brings together higher education institutions to work on developing innovative technologies.
The alliance, launched on 28 February, aims to help universities become more involved in applied research and to work together better, said Wolfgang Heubisch, Bavaria’s science minister, at the launch. This, he said, would help raise university profiles and offer better training opportunities to budding scientists.
