The German/South-African Year of Science is drawing to an end, with a final conference of academics from both countries to take place in Leipzig on 15 April.
The conference will bring together senior academics and rectors from South Africa and Germany to discuss future perspectives for cooperation. The Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK), Germany’s rectors’ union, said that South Africa is Germany’s most important collaboration partner on the African continent, with 150 active partnerships.
