A fund to help refugee researchers has awarded scholarships to a further 56 candidates, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has announced.
The winners of the Philipp Schwartz Initiative were chosen from among 114 applicants. The researchers, who are mostly from Turkey and Syria, will begin two-year placements at universities in Germany in August.
