International academics to grapple with German election

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has brought political scientists from 16 countries to Germany to gain their insights into the general election.

The guests, who are all experts on German or European politics, are in the country from 15 to 25 September to experience the final stage of the election. Germany goes to the polls on 24 September.

As well as visiting electoral campaigns in various cities, the researchers have been invited to hold talks with party representatives, German researchers, and industry and media representatives.
