The Science Barometer 2019, an annual survey, has concluded that Germans are increasingly interested in science and want to see more evidence-based politics.

According to the results of the survey, 59 per cent of the public are generally interested in scientific topics—more than those who are interested in politics, at 53 per cent, and culture, at 49 per cent.
