Two warnings and one application ban issued to scientists
Germany’s biggest public research funding body, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), has reprimanded two unnamed scientists over misrepresentations in their funding applications.
The organisation announced on 6 December that it had uncovered two separate cases of misconduct from scientists applying for financing. While both were issued with official written reprimands, one of the scientists was also made subject to a one-year ban on further applications.
