Funder will oversee programme including exchange of best practice and scientific research
The Toepfer Foundation has been chosen to lead a joint federal-state initiative called Innovations in Higher Education, which will be set up next year.
The programme is meant to rejuvenate higher education teaching across Germany, with input from both the federal states and the German government. From 2021 onwards, universities will be able to apply for funding to run initiatives and research better teaching methods.
