Hackers damaged ‘thousands of documents’ in Berlin

                  

Technical university reports months of disruption and hundreds of thousands in outlay after 2021 attack

A hacking attack in April last year led to the theft or damage of more than 5,000 files, the Technical University of Berlin has said.

Among the files affected were application document, expert reports, confidential protocols, certificates, passwords and photos. The information was revealed by the university and the Berlin senate in response to a parliamentary inquiry by the Left Party.
