DAAD announces record budget for Erasmus exchange

Post-pandemic spending push to increase global collaboration and extend support for persecuted scientists

A record sum of €157 million will be available for the international exchange of 50,000 students and university staff via the Erasmus+ programme for the next two years, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has confirmed.

Funding is available for study and internships abroad at all degree stages, including doctoral studies. A share of the money will be used to invite students and scholars from abroad to Germany, and to support academics in crisis areas.
