Foreign-born graduates will ultimately help to address shortage of academic staff, says DAAD
Germany has become the third most popular destination worldwide for foreign students wanting to study abroad, according to the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
In the winter semester of 2022/23, a record 367,578 international students studied at German universities—an increase of 5 per cent on the previous year. Only the United States and UK attract larger numbers of foreign students.
