Right-wing populism seen as threat to democracy
Germany’s scientific community has spoken out in defence of democratic values and for cultural diversity, amid demonstrations across the country against the rise of right-wing populism.
“Legal protection against discrimination in any form, which is enshrined in German law, is also a pillar of our scientific endeavours,” said the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) in a statement.
