Suspect not allowed on campus for at least three months

Freie Universität Berlin has banned one of its students from campus because they are the main suspect in an attack in which a Jewish student was physically assaulted.

The ban, which will last for at least three months, does not include online teaching and can be extended, FU Berlin said in a statement. The attack occurred on the evening of 2 February in the Mitte district. Police and state security have begun an investigation into the alleged perpetrator, the university said.
