Time to review academic links with neglected neighbours, German academy says
Scientific exchanges with Germany’s eastern neighbours should be intensified, according to a joint statement from the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and its Young Academy.
Working with a number of other organisations, the academy has drawn up a manifesto called Reclaiming Europe. It states that the Russian invasion of Ukraine has forced academics in Germany and its western allies to re-evaluate their relationship with colleagues in the east.
