Institutions say they also support state’s cultural and social life
Ten universities based in the small central German state of Thuringia have called attention to the contribution they make to the local economy, and their influence on culture and social life.
The Thuringian State Parliament hosted a meeting on 13 March under the slogan, ‘Our universities are worth their weight in gold’, where the institutions highlighted the range and depth of activities they carry out, and their importance for the state’s economy and population.
