Training to help international students learn German is vital, Stifterverband says

Universities in Germany must make greater efforts to help students from abroad integrate into society and become part of the national workforce, the Stifterverband science funders’ association has said.

The proportion of foreign students who abandon degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects before graduating is 50 per cent higher than for classmates born in Germany, the association has found.
