JRC makes data available

The Joint Research Centre, the European Commission’s in-house science service, has launched an open-access data platform.

The JRC Data Catalogue, an online inventory of data produced by JRC researchers, came online on 29 June. It is available for use by researchers, policymakers, journalists and the general public.

The catalogue contains 1,629 datasets from 44 collections, on topics including agriculture and food security, environment and climate, and health and consumer protection. The data can be reproduced, shared and used for further research provided that the source is cited.
