EU funding programmes need one set of rules, Commission told

A single set of rules, in line with those for the R&D Framework programme, should apply to all EU funding sources, a group of research and technology organisations has said.

The funding rules for EU R&D initiatives—such as the European Institute of Technology, which supports knowledge-exchange; the Joint Technology Initiative public-private partnerships; and the European Strategic Investment Fund—should all be the same, the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations said on 27 March.

Co-funding mechanisms between the Framework programme and other initiatives like Esif and Interreg—a regional support scheme—should also be allowed, Earto said.
