The EU has expanded the pilot of its European Innovation Council initiative, which aims to help companies and entrepreneurs bring potentially transformative R&D to market.
The European Commission announced on 18 March that the EIC’s long-planned Pathfinder instrument, which aims to support advanced technology projects, would open the following day.
A second instrument called Accelerator, which is intended to help small companies scale up innovations so that they can attract private investment, will launch its first call in June.
