Rethink needed on social science integration, Commission says

Fully incorporating the social sciences into the EU’s R&D Framework programme will require a “more holistic approach”, the European Commission has said.

A report on the integration of the social sciences and humanities into the current Horizon 2020 programme says that a major rethink will be required for the next programme, Horizon Europe.

Published on 28 February, the report’s authors said that integrating these disciplines into the creation, design, selection and implementation of projects would help increase their societal impact.
