The European Commission has named the people and organisations that will provide strategic advice to the Quantum Flagship, a high-budget, long-term technology development initiative.
Ten people and six organisations have been selected to serve on the Quantum Flagship’s strategic advisory board, the Commission announced on 2 April. It said the board’s aim is to provide advice on making decisions that will deliver “long-term impact across the whole initiative”.
The organisations include Airbus, the European aeronautics company, and Ericsson, the Swedish telecommunications company. Individual members include Jürgen Mlynek, a German physicist and former president of the Helmholtz Association of German research centres, and Anna Sanpera, a quantum researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
