The European Commission has pushed back the deadline for applying to become a member of the boards that will advise it on the design of the missions being introduced in the EU’s next R&D programme.
The deadline was originally 11 June, but the Commission announced in a tweet that it would be pushed back to 16 June. All other conditions remain the same, it said.
Missions are being introduced to improve the EU’s ability to tackle social problems through R&D and to capture the public’s attention and support. The mission boards will help the Commission design at least one mission for each of five areas: climate change, cancer, healthy waters, smart cities and food security.
