European Research Council’s governing body is supporting the move by grantees
The governing scientific council of the European Research Council, the EU’s premier funder of basic research, has agreed that its past and present grantees can form an association.
Minutes of an October 2019 council meeting published on 23 December report that the council has given its support to the establishment of an ERC association, on the condition that the association commits to respect the fundamental principles of the ERC and informs the council of any changes in its statutes.
