Gender equality plans to be mandatory for Horizon Europe

  

By 2022, all public bodies will need plans to be eligible, Commission R&D head says

The European Commission’s top R&D official has said that public institutions have about a year to design and agree gender equality plans if they want to be eligible for the EU’s 2021-27 R&D programme, Horizon Europe.

“We will make the existence of a reasonable, fully owned gender equality plan a requirement to become eligible under Horizon Europe,” Jean-Eric Paquet said at the Commission’s Research and Innovation Days conference on 22 September.
