ERC set to avert evaluation delays with schedule for 2021 funding

Evaluation of proposals will proceed as planned despite call delays, funder’s president says

The European Research Council has published its 2021 work programme, offering roughly €1.9 billion to 1,000 researchers to pursue frontier science through its Starting, Consolidator and Advanced Grants.

Coming on 22 February, the publication soothes concerns that delays to the launch of ERC calls, resulting from the late signing off of the EU’s 2021-27 budget, threatened to cause major problems for the funder.
