Funding call for 2021 received just over 4,000 applications for about 400 available grants
The European Research Council’s 2021 funding call for Starting Grants, which support early career researchers, received 24 per cent more applications than the equivalent call in 2020, the funder has announced.
The 2021 call received 4,056 applications, the ERC said on 16 April. It has earmarked €619 million for the call, which it expects to be enough to make about 413 awards.
