Interim president Jean-Pierre Bourguignon says political endorsement “means a lot” to research community
EU politicians have lined up to pile praise on the European Research Council as the funder of bottom-up, excellent research picked its 10,000th grantee.
Speaking at an event on 6 May, politicians including the European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, praised frontier research findings that have had the most impact on citizens.
